I recently enjoyed my stay at Hotel Balzac, which is perfectly located a mere block from the Champs-Élysées. The city access was fantastic, and the concierge service was particularly impressive, providing helpful restaurant recommendations and tour information. However, I faced a few challenges, such as some noise from the street in my initial room, which did impact my sleep, but the management quickly accommodated me by moving me to a quieter room with a stunning Eiffel Tower view. Overall, the experience was charming yet had room for improvement.

Rooms

The initial room I stayed in had some noise issues which affected my sleep. However, the hotel managed to relocate me to a higher-floor suite with amazing views of the Eiffel Tower.
Service

The concierge team, especially Jihad, offered really good service with local insights and made great dining recommendations that enhanced my stay.
Location

The hotel's location is unbeatable, just a short walk from both the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, making it very convenient for exploring the city.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the hotel dining, particularly breakfast, which was good, but it could benefit from a wider selection to match the hotel's luxurious setting.
Facilities

The overall amenities were satisfactory, though some areas might need updating to reflect the hotel's five-star status, especially regarding the room decor.

5.0/10

My stay at Hotel Balzac was quite a mix of experiences. While the location near Champs-Élysées was absolutely perfect, making it easy to explore the city, I found the room to be smaller than expected and quite stuffy. The service was friendly, but there were a few hiccups that left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was a superior double room, but it felt cramped and had issues with air conditioning, making it uncomfortable at times. The bedding didn't look fresh, which was disappointing, especially for a hotel of this caliber.
Service
6.0
The staff were certainly friendly and attentive, helping me with concierge needs and providing good recommendations. However, the handling of some requests felt a bit disorganized, which detracted from the overall experience.
Location

The hotel's location was fantastic, just a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe and metro stations, making it ideal for getting around Paris. This aspect of my stay was definitely a highlight.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast had decent options, but the selection felt limited for a five-star hotel. I hoped for more variety and a livelier atmosphere during breakfast hours.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel offered standard facilities like room service and housekeeping, I felt they could improve on the overall presentation. The decor in my room felt a bit lacking, and some services seemed to need tightening up.

My stay at Hotel Balzac was mixed. The location near the Champs-Élysées was perfect and the staff was friendly, but the room felt outdated, and the breakfast left much to be desired. I had high expectations, but unfortunately, they weren't fully met.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was quite small and had a worn-out look, with issues like a broken bathroom door handle and hard pillows. It really didn’t meet the five-star standard I expected.
Service
6.0
While some staff were helpful, I encountered moments where the service felt rushed and inattentive. For instance, I was left waiting for coffee during breakfast, which was frustrating.
Location

The hotel's location was superb, just steps away from the Champs-Élysées and other major attractions, making it very convenient for exploring the city.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite disappointing. The selection was limited, with poorly presented food that didn’t seem fresh, which was surprising for a hotel of this caliber.
Facilities

They had the basics covered, but the overall feel of the hotel amenities was lackluster. I hope they follow through with their renovation plans soon.

My stay at Hotel Balzac Paris & Spa Ikoi was quite the mixed bag. The location was superb, being just steps away from the Champs-Élysées and offering a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower from my Junior Suite. However, the service was inconsistent; while the reception staff was friendly, I encountered issues that made the experience less than perfect. Overall, it felt more like a good hotel than a five-star experience. 🏨🌆

Rooms

I enjoyed the comfort of my Junior Suite, particularly the beautiful decor. However, I found the room on the small side, and it lacked some basic amenities for a luxury hotel, like complimentary tea and coffee.
Service
6.0
While I found the reception staff nice, my experience with the concierge was a bit hit or miss. They were helpful at times but could be unresponsive when I needed assistance with room amenities.
Location

The hotel's location is its standout feature! Just meters away from the Champs-Élysées and close to key attractions, it made exploring Paris a breeze.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had its ups and downs; on some days, it was good, while other days it failed to meet expectations in terms of quality and freshness.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, with room service available. However, I was surprised by the €50 deposit for the minibar, which felt a bit excessive and not clearly communicated at check-in.

My stay at Hotel Balzac was a mix of beautiful decor and service hiccups. The location near Champs-Élysées was fantastic, allowing me to explore Paris easily. However, the breakfast experience was inconsistent, and I encountered minor issues with room service that detracted from the overall luxury feel. I appreciated the friendly staff, although some service aspects could use refinement.

Rooms
7.0
The suite was comfortable with high ceilings and an elegant design. but it felt somewhat empty and lacked decorative touches. I was particularly disappointed with the bathroom's single sink and the absence of a walk-in shower, which should be standard for a hotel of this caliber.
Service
6.0
The staff were mostly friendly and professional, especially the concierge who provided valuable insights. Yet, there were moments of confusion, particularly with room service and breakfast, which indicated some oversight that needs addressing.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is truly superb, just steps from the Champs-Élysées and a short walk to the Arc de Triomphe. This made navigating the city exceptionally easy and enjoyable, especially for a first-time visitor like me.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast offered quality food, but the variability day-to-day was disappointing. One day it was good, while the next it was underwhelming, reflecting a need for better consistency in the kitchen.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities such as room service and housekeeping performed well, yet there were lapses in basic replenishments. The ambiance in the lounge area was nice, though some elements felt dated and could use an update.
